Welcome to the homework link. Go to Spelling City to find out the list of words. I will be providing class time for students to record their Spelling words into their agendas on Friday and again on Monday. There is a copy of the Spelling Contract in your child's binder. It is white and in a plastic sleeve.
I have also included the Spelling contract below:
  • Weekly Spelling homework Please complete the following activities through the week to help you learn the meaning and how to spell your words each week. Please turn all assignments in on Friday. Your assignments should be in order from Monday to Thursday and stapled together before turning them in.

Monday: Write or type on the computer each spelling word 4 times each. You may turn in a handwritten copy, a typed copy, or you may email the assignment to your teacher. (tiffany.pugh@craven.k12.nc.us)

Tuesday: Write each word in a meaningful sentence or write a story using your spelling words. Please use a dictionary or visit dictionary.com if you are unsure of the meaning of a word.

Wednesday: Complete spelling worksheet given to you by your teacher.

Thursday: Complete spelling pre-test. Have an adult call out the words or complete the pre-test on Spellingcity.com, print off and turn in with assignments. You will also need to study Wednesday night's homework to prepare for the Vocabulary test on Friday.

Parent/Guardian signature is required *Please note that you may play games on spellingcity.com with your words. You may do this anytime throughout the week,

but it is not required

Friday(In class): You will take a spelling test on spellingcity.com in class and complete a vocabulary test as well.

* Make sure all Spelling assignments are stapled together and that your practice test is signed by an adult! I will be checking Spelling daily but students will need to turn in all homework assignments on Friday for a weekly homework grade for Spelling.

* Remember to study your computation homework on Tuesday and Wednesday night. This is an excellent way to prepare for the test on Thursday. A parent signature is required on the Homework sheet prior to the test.
